sakerock was awesome!

the frontman/trombonist walked on stage completely naked and stood there for like 25 seconds and then “realized” he was naked and ran backstage and put pants on

their set was really cool

then GNB came on

chin, murai and abichan came on stage

I was standing at the back, next to the PA table

they started playing, mineta’s not on stage

suddenly I hear mineta’s screaming blasting through the speakers

everyone’s trying to find him
-ricardo- says:
suddenly the mass of people in front of me turns around and rushes towards me

I turn around and Mineta’s standing at the bar with a microphone, screaming nonsense
-ricardo- says:
wearing a tiny swimsuit thing
BOB says:

and COVERED IN THIS GROSS KY JELLY LOTION FROM HEAD TO TOE

he empties a bottle of tea on the crowd, the PA people are panicking cuz some of it lands on the PA table

then he dives
-ricardo- says:
and hits his ribs on this counter that he couldn’t see cuz of the crowd
BOB says:
WHOA!!!!!!!!

for a split second I saw genuine pain and shock on his face
-ricardo- says:
but then he quickly reverted back to on-stage Mineta
-ricardo- says:
climbs on the counter and keeps screaming nonsense
-ricardo- says:
OMAERA NO KOTO, DAIKIRAI, DAIKIRAI DA YO, DAIKIRAI

then he dives again
-ricardo- says:
I get lotion all over my arm

everyone’s trying to carry him to the stage

but he keeps slipping to the ground cuz of the lotion
-ricardo- says:
so chin and abichan and murai keep playing and making noise and there’s a huge fiasco in the crowd with staff running in and trying to get mineta on stage, but the crowd can’t carry him cuz they can’t get a good grip

eventually he makes it

at this point I was in the back with my friend but I’m getting anxious

so my friend offers to hold my bag (we couldn’t get to the lockers cuz Mr. T got us in through the back)

I give him my bag and I rush in to the front, takes me like 5 seconds to get there cuz the crowd is still slushing back and forth with people pushing, jumping, diving etc

there’s maybe like 5 people between me and the stage

Mineta’s bashing his face with his microphone, his forehead is bright red, nice and bruised
-ricardo- says:
Abichan drops his bass and starts stomping around on stage and screaming into the microphone

at one point this crowdsurfer falls and like 5 people collapse on him

so everyone’s scrambling to get him up, he’s like trapped under all these people and his eyes are closed

we pull him up and he’s tottering about and the kid next to me is screaming at him to see if he’s ok

he’s just tottering around eyes closed and suddenly he starts smiling and singing along hahaha what an overdramatic shmuck

at one point Abichan is crowdsurfing while playing bass

after that Mineta MCs about this kid who killed his mom and watched beastie boys videos on youtube

and he dedicates moshimo kimi ga nakunaraba to him

Chin has his legs wrapped around something and is hanging upside down from one of the amps, playing guitar
